HAUL: L.A. Colors, NYX and Landmark Brushes

YES! I know! I wrote previously that I am saving up for Korea. But I am  here again with another haul! And this time, all items are below 150 PESOS!! YAAAY to bargain hunters like me! I haven’t found time to review other products from my previous haul. Again, I am making my to-review list a little bit longer. So many products to review, so little time!

Quality brushes are a must-have for any make up junkie. But who wouldn’t resist these fluffy ones! They are incredibly cheap. Although, you know that they won’t last as long as high quality brushes do – but what could go wrong with 50 and 90 pesos right? (That’s around $1 – $2 only!!) They have soft bristles and long handles which I love! – Black with a little shimmer. The eye brushes shed off quickly and the other one is already damaged though (I should have opened it from it’s wrapper to check before I started buying it). Good thing I can fix it with Super Glue.

My NYX round lipstick in Indian Pink has a story. I really wanted this shade ever since I picked it out for my friend to buy. Last Easter, I saw my favorite bazaar stall (Prettygoddes) which is where I purchase all my round lippies. I asked for the shade Indian pink but they didn’t have it on stock. A few days after, I checked the stall they had on another mall (At Trinoma, PoP Culture) again it was out of stock! Someone just bought the last piece a few minutes before I asked. I got so frustrated because I really wanted the shade and my mind was already set on buying that particular shade only. I went back after eating dinner and found out that there was still one left for me! Turns out, the previous buyer gave it back and chose another shade. Boy was I so happy! This, by far, is my favorite stall. They have an accommodating and friendly staff, and they have a lot of NYX items to choose from.

Lastly, I bought a few stuff from L.A. Colors. I was able to find a retractable lip pencil here and a pressed powder, concealer and a wet to dry make up. The shade is too light for my complexion (Wet to dry make up). They don’t have testers so you really won’t be able to see the swatches in the skin… I’ll save my words on their separate review. But I give 2 thumbs up for the lip pencils. They are easy to use and glides well on the lips. Plus, sharpening is not required!

  1. Both didn't work well for me. The wet to dry make up was 3 shades to light for me and the concealer creased alot. it didn't give out a smooth finish so you have to blend it and you have to use a setting powder to make it work. The pressed powder and lip liners were good purchases though 🙂
